"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.
Well, if you search to see whether ducks can get rabies, you get something about as good. http://www.justanswer.com/medical/30j5k ... badly.html

Text is copied below:
We have ocd, we tried to put a duck who was injured badly in a tub, we do not know if the animal that attacked the duck was rabid or not, but we are very upset, he urinated in the tub and it splashed on us, near our faces to. We do not know if we can get rabies. Can the duck have rabies? It was bitten in the head and neck, we need answers for our mental health and we do not want to die from rabies. Please take us seriously, they only laughted at the emergency room.
Rabies is a disease which is carried in mammals.
These include:
dogs
cat
bat
fox
raccoon
skunks
wolves
jackals
horses
cows
deer
Animals that are not mammals, such as birds, reptiles are not affected by this virus.
A duck is a bird (not a mammal).
Doctor, I know that ducks cannot carry rabies, but please work with us more for our mental health. Could the duck's urine have rabies in it if it was bitten by a rabid animal. Our ocd is out of control and one website said that chickens had rabies from eating rabid animals. Ok, my question is, could the rabies have lived in the duck's body for 14 days? Could it then have passed it on to us.
No - urine does not have the rabies virus, even in animals that could carry the virus.
The virus is in the saliva -- and the brain.
No, the rabies could not have lived in a duck's body. It does not infect a duck.

If you know your Touhous, this is funny, but the process of explaining the joke ruins it. Suffice to say that these two are "pets" and did exactly what it says on the boards.Cynic wrote:whut?Avoraciopoctules wrote:

It comes from here.
And it is awesome.
I stumbled upon it during one of my SQL self-teaching sessions for work when I was struggling with how to return concatenated strings with the text color coded by whether or not they matched previous entries. It was a pleasant diversion.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.
